MILWAUKEE, Wis. – October 27, 2016 – Gastroenterologist Dr. Tedd P. Cain, MD, FACG, of GI Associates has been selected as the Wisconsin representative to the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
“I am honored to be included with such a respected group of digestive health experts from around the nation. My representation will greatly benefit GI Associates and the many patients we serve,” Dr. Cain explains.
The Board of Governors is ACG Fellows elected from the membership of a particular state or region. There are 76 Governors across seven regions in the United States and abroad who act as conduits between ACG leadership and membership at large. ACG Governors act as a grass-roots force on important issues facing gastroenterologists and organized medicine at large for both national and state levels.
Dr. Cain’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, especially Crohn’s Disease, irritable bowel syndrome and biliary disease. Prior to joining GI Associates, he served as medical director of endoscopy at Rockford Memorial Hospital and chairman of the gastroenterology departments of Rockford Health System and All Saints Medical Group in Racine.
“We are immensely proud of Dr. Cain’s recent achievement,” says Bob Kwech, Executive Director at GI Associates, LLC. “His commitment to gastroenterology and his patients is demonstrated by this incredible ACG honor.”
